Your Health Insurance with POMAS
Dear Member,
We are writing to you about the General Data Protection Regulation (‘the GDPR’) which comes into effect on the 25th May 2018. The GDPR applies across the European Union (EU) and aims to give individuals more rights, control and understanding of how their personal data is processed.
We have always appreciated your trust in us to collect, process and protect your personal information and we will continue to look after your information in a way that merits your trust.
The GDPR will have no impact on the cover we provide to you. It does however require us to keep you informed of the following:
✓The types of data we hold on you;
✓The purpose it is used for; and
✓Your rights in relation to how it is processed.
You will find all of this information in the Data Security & Privacy Notice here. This Statement is applicable to all dependants insured on your policy, so we would ask you to share it with them.
There is no need for you to do anything, we just wanted to inform you on the impending GDPR changes and re-assure you we are committed to investing and managing your Health Insurance within a GDPR compliant environment & of course provide you with fair transparent cover designed to suit you and your family’s needs.
Yours sincerely,
P J Dunne
Secretary
